2017, somewhere in time.

It is now 2017 and it has been a hot minute since I have started up a blog.  My last blog post was in January 2015, and I definitely did not finish the 365 days of writing, or whatever I was trying to do.  I tried, no accomplishment.
In 2016, I decided not to do it at all because of how 2015 went.  But in this case, 2017 feels like something new.  A new journey for me to partake, especially after these next few months of school - I'll be graduated and landed with a job (fingers crossed).

Of course, I would love to write about what I do everyday - but then I thought, how boring.  I'm thinking about writing posts about topics I have in mind.  My mind loves to soar amongst many ideas - and that is what I want to do, share with you topics that may hopfully resonate with you as well.  So here's to my first post!

The memento.

Memento?  How did I even stumble upon this word?  Well a couple minutes ago, I just finished reading the newest book of Mitch Albom called, "The Magical Strings of Frankie Presto".  A great book with such inspirational meaning connected through music.  I loved how Albom used key signatures and musical definitions to start off a chapter and end with it as well.
I was reading a certain part of the book where it reminded me of my past singing teacher constantly telling me, "This is your memento, Marianne.  Sing it as you."  Now - I was only in third grade then and had no reason to look that word up.  But when I read Albom's book, there's a part in the story that quickly reminded me of that moment.  Of that memento.

So here's to this blog being my memento.  My blog will be my object that will keep all my ideas, memories and whatever 2017 has in store for me.  Whether it be positive, negative, a slow or rough day - it'll be right here, in this memento.

Hopefully you'll enjoy this memento, as much as enjoy it during these next 365 days as well.
