Guess who’s traveling
with the passage below and comment what
you think it is!
Here we go again, anxiousness. Marianne is about to get onto another flight
and leave her beautiful family home in Hawai’i.
It is cold this morning at 4 AM, I wonder what Marianne’s mom is doing?
Marianne gets up from her couch and heads to her parents room to wake
her mother up.
The coffee has started,
Marianne has an hour before she has to get going – maybe she should start
getting ready? She heads to the bathroom
to brush her teeth, wash her face, change into her already picked out “flight
outfit” and heads out to find her parents re-weighing her luggage. She’s
concerned.
Her luggages are cutting
close to 50 pounds! Her heart would sink
if she would have to $100+ just to be within the criteria for United’s Baggage
Policy. Who would price bags this much anyway? Marianne thought to herself. She judges the moment and goes with hoping the bags will not surpass 50 pounds.
The car ride with her
mom is quiet. Should she say
something? What is there to talk about,
when the feeling of leaving is
always a tough one – especially with family.
Think of something to talk about, Marianne. The conversation started, she talked with her
mom about her clients. She thought about asking how her mom likes
the job.
Marianne pulls over in
front of the airport section for United.
A million thoughts rush through
her mind about having everything she needed. Well, let’s hope she does because she knows
she has no time now. She hugs her mother
goodbye, takes a quick snapchat. She felt sad leaving home one again, but
was determined to finish what she started in Saint Louis.
After the check in and
security check point – Marianne feels
relieved. With a muffin and caramel Frappuccino
in her hand, she sits, waits, and eats.
Her flight boards in thirty minutes.
She feels anxious.
I wonder who is sitting next to her on this
flight? She loves the aisle seats and the middle seat in
her row was not taken yet. She is hoping nobody ends up sitting next
to her, but then somebody came. She
shrugged.
Everyone is on the
flight, seated, and ready to go! The
windows are closed, trays stowed up, and all seats upright. Marianne
is ready to go. The plane takes off
and here she feels safe. She takes out
her kindle, starts reading and hopes soon enough – she will fall asleep.
What am I?
